The Journey of R.C.I.T SERVICES
History

This whole journey began, while I was an orientation leader and part of the coalition that helped developed the Spanish Orientation Sessions for the University of North Georgia.
During that portion of my career, I noticed the need for interpreting and translating services, especially for the purpose of explaining the whole orientation process of a college and the resources provided to students.
This predicament was the following:
“How do parents and family, who have no college knowledge let alone speak English are supposed to understand the information being given to them?”
That is where the first idea of Roany Casas Interpreting & Translating Services (R.C.I.T Services) came about. At the time, I was a sophomore and I was a witness of the language barrier that exists in the local community. While, this has always existed I thought to myself, why not make this predicament into an opportunity.
Thus, upon graduating from the University of North Georgia on December 14, 2018 I began my business plan. Thanks to my bachelor degree in business administration and management, a minor in Spanish, and a certification in Spanish/English Translation, I began making my idea from semesters ago a reality. Thus, Roany Casas Interpreting & Translating Services (R.C.I.T SERVICES) was founded.
